Experimental feature

Two strains of gypsy music come together on this recording. The Canadian swing guitarist Adrian Raso teams up with the Romanian brass band Fanfare Ciocărlia for a rambunctious set of songs, the brass responding to and playing with Raso’s Djangoisms in a globe-trotting dialogue.

There are enthusiastic Mexicanisms from Rodrigo (of y Gabriela fame) and, at the end, a snatch of Grieg.
