From Mr Herman Lategan.
Sir, So Peter Thiel wants us to live longer? Why? What is this unhealthy Peter Pan-like obsession with eternal youth and life? (Lunch with the FT, December 21.) It’s pure hubris, a bizarre fear of death, so infra dig actually, demeaning.
In developed countries, too, many people live far too long, it’s silly to keep going after 100. It’s selfish. In fact, we’re pushing our luck after 90, because what’s the point?
