British cyber security group Sophos is enjoying its best day of trading ever, after a stronger than expected end to the year led it to increase its full-year profits forecasts.

In a pre-close trading update this morning the FTSE 250 group said it expects to report full-year revenues of $630m, compared to earlier expectations of between $610m and $617m.

Shares in the group have been climbing all day and at publication time were up 13.7 per cent to a record high of 309.5p, in the biggest one-day rise since Sophos joined the stock market in 2015.
