Paul Mullins, the new Europe chief at DC Advisory Partners, has barely had time to get his feet under the desk, as he faces the departure of one of his leading executives.

Daniel Morland, co-head of debt advisory at the firm formerly known as Close Brothers Corporate Finance, is joining Gleacher Shacklock after 11 years at DC Advisory Partners. Mr Morland’s exit follows that of Stephen Aulsebrook, who left last September for Moelis.

Mr Mullins has mitigated some of the damage, however, as he has managed to convince Simon Tilley, who was also set to join Gleacher Shacklock, to remain at the firm, now owned by Japanese broker Daiwa.
