HEC Paris, the management school, the Foundation for World Agriculture and Rural Life (Farm) and the African Cotton Producers’ Association are to launch training programmes for the African cotton industry.
HEC will offer a masters programme as well as an executive education programme aimed at, among others, agricultural professionals and cotton producers and administrators. It is hoped the programmes will increase revenues for farmers and also contribute to agricultural competitiveness.
“This is a key project for HEC,” said Bertrand Maingeon, professor and associate dean for HEC executive education.
“Not only is it part of our educational mission but it also reflects our commitment to corporate social responsibility,” he said.
