Two generations of German experimentalists – Hans-Joachim Roedelius of 1970s krautrockers Cluster and Harmonia and Stefan Schneider of modern post-rockers To Rococo Rot – collaborate on an album of ambient instrumentals. Roedelius’s minimalist piano-playing is decorated with twinkling electronics, slow-motion guitar strums and serpentine synth patterns: the effect is low-key but mesmerising.
