Former chief executive and chairman of PepsiCo, Steve Reinemund, has been appointed dean of the Babcock graduate school of management at Wake Forest University and of the university’s undergraduate school of business and accounting, the Calloway School.

The move follows the decision announced last December to unite the two business schools in North Carolina under a single dean. The two previous deans have returned to teaching and research.

Mr Reinemund, 60, a graduate of the US Naval Academy, spent 23 years at PepsiCo, starting his career there at Pizza Hut. No stranger to business schools, he holds an MBA from the Darden school at the University of Virginia.
