Chicago Booth is revamping its Executive MBA programme - an MBA for senior working managers - to include additional courses and overseas study.

The Chicago EMBA, arguably the oldest EMBA in the world, is taught on the school’s three campuses in Chicago, London and Singapore. Beginning with the matriculating class of 2013, all students will study overseas for five weeks instead of four. All students will spend at least two weeks on Booth’s downtown Chicago campus as part of their programme.

Participants will be able to choose from a range of elective or optional courses as part of the 21-month programme - until now, they had to study for elective courses at the end of the official programme. The elective courses will build into concentrations in areas such as capital markets, corporate finance, entrepreneurship, strategy, marketing and leadership.

Booth has more than 500 students on its EMBA programme across the three campuses.
