I had thought that our project about separated children might win. But I never thought that I personally would win. We were bringing together all the different legal actors in Europe who do work, which impacts on the interests of children.
This is not an award for me. This is an award for a wonderful team of dedicated lawyers.
Our next big challenge is going to be to raise the money to enable us to carry on doing this work and to look after the interests of all these children, particularly the asylum seeking children who are on the fringes of Europe.
