There are long-term charts, and there are long-term charts. Here, by way of markets pub-quiz trivia, is one going back to 3000 BC, courtesy of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, showing that interest rates have never been so depressed:

US bond yields, meanwhile, are at their lowest since World War II, while Japanese bond yields are at their lowest in 150 years. Corporate bonds have never had it so good, and US stocks are on the second-longest bull run of all time.
