Bad news if you were hoping for a quiet start to the week.

Cracks in the ‘Trump Trade’ are expanding at quite a pace. Aside from the slide in the dollar, here’s the latest on stocks:

  • The UK’s FTSE 100, hampered today both by general nerves and by the rise in sterling (well, drop in the dollar), dropped as much as 1.1 per cent, and at publication time was still off 0.75 per cent, at 7282.05.
  • France’s CAC 40 is down by 0.52 per cent at 4994.37.
  • Germany’s Dax is down 0.7 per cent at 11,981.39
