Prof David Larcker

David Larcker is the James Irvin Miller professor of accounting and director of the corporate governance research programme at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a senior faculty member at the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Centre for Corporate Governance at Stanford University.

His current research projects include the valuation implications of corporate governance, modeling the cost of executive stock options and the role of the business press in the executive compensation debate.

Previously, Prof Larcker was the Ernst & Young professor of accounting at the Wharton school at the University of Pennsylvania and professor of accounting and information systems at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

He has a PhD in business from the University of Kansas and an MS in engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
