A lorry has driven into a crowd in a busy shopping street in central Stockholm, in what the Swedish prime minister has described as a terror attack.
Shortly before 3pm Swedish time, a lorry drove through a busy, pedestrianised street in the centre of the Stockholm, hitting people before crashing into the Ahlens City department store.
Stockholm police confirmed in a statement that a truck had driven into people on Drottninggatan in the Norrmalm district of central Stockholm. The police force said an unconfirmed number of people had been injured, and that it had received unconfirmed reports of gunfire. It advised people to avoid the city, and to stay at home.
Prime minister Stefan Löfven said it was a terror attack, adding that security services had reported two deaths.
