The Israeli pianist Idan Raichel is joined by a stellar cast of guests for this album: Ana Moura starts singing in unison with Raichel in Hebrew on ‘Sabe Deus’, before the song opens out into a languorous Lusaphone Fado.

The next track, ‘Ana Ana Wa Enta Enta’, features the Palestinian Mira Awad and a clatter of percussion. Most surprising of all is Andreas Scholl, busting Israeli music’s taboo about the German language.
