Former dean of the Shanghai-based business school Ceibs, Rolf Cremer, is to become president and chief executive of the EBS University for Business and Law, in Wiesbaden, Germany, from the beginning of June.

Prof Cremer first joined Ceibs in 1996 as a visiting professor and was dean from September 2004 to January 2011 - he is still dean emeritus. As dean he oversaw much of the school’s expansion in China and overseas, setting up an executive MBA programme in Ghana.

EBS is a full-service business school, with undergraduates, masters, MBA and doctoral programmes, though it is not accredited by the usual international accreditation bodies, such as AACSB or Equis. Prof Cremer will also oversee the EBS law school.
