What do you think?

Bartlett, along with Dr. John and the Kronos Quartet, is one of the non-African non-woman guests on a CD explicitly “dedicated to the women of Africa for their resilience and their beauty”.

For the most part, this is a slick and relentless funk extravaganza, punctuated by instrumental interludes and with some bass frequency rumbles alarming to adult ears, but brightened by women’s choirs from Kenya and Benin.
