John Hughes did not resign from UBS over Kweku Adoboli’s arrest and detention for alleged fraud; he was suspended, at a later date (UBS trader in custody after fraud charge, 16 September 2011). Further, Mr Hughes denies having been Adoboli’s boss. We are happy to make the position clear.
