German Chancellor Angela Merkel will officially open the campus of the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin on February 3.

The school was founded on the initiative of 25 German companies and has been providing executive courses since 2003. The school matriculated its first MBA students this month.

The first class of 30 on the one-year degree has an average age of 30 and come from 15 countries. A quarter are from the 25 founding companies.
