From Mr Pulak Prasad.

Sir, Luke Johnson (“Beware the Faustian pact of the professions”, February 12) advises intelligent youngsters to abandon the well-paid professions such as law, accountancy, banking and consulting in favour of start-ups. The one small problem that I foresee is this: if the current sorry state of these four professions has been brought about by people who are very smart, I wonder what would happen if second-rate professionals started populating them.
