Ottawa’s Telfer school selects dean from its own ranks

The Telfer school at the University of Ottawa has appointed long-time faculty member François Julien as its new dean. He has been a professor at Telfer for 20 years, most recently as the vice dean of the school. He took over as acting dean in July 2010.

As vice dean Prof Julien, an operations management specialist, was responsible for launching two research masters degrees in management and health systems and ran an review of the Telfer school’s curriculum. He was director of the Telfer MBA programme between 1997 and 2005.
