Age Of Not Believing – their name taken from Bedknobs and Broomsticks – offer a miniature soundworld drawing on musicals, children’s television themes and ornithological documentary.

They pack in instruments with Narnian profusion – tuba duets with banjo; choruses cycle through harp, then kazoo, then glockenspiel: the instrumental break on ‘Moon River’ deploys a hilariously vintage clavinet.
