Cranfield School of Management has appointed academic Frank Horwitz as its new director.

Prof Horwitz will take over the top job next April on the early retirement of the UK school’s current director Michael Osbaldeston.

A specialist in human resources management, organisation change and industrial relations, Prof Horwitz joins Cranfield from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business where he has been a faculty member for more than 22 years and director of the school since April 2004.

Earlier this year, Prof Horwitz was elected president of the South African Business School Association and is also the South African representative to the five-member governing body of the Association of African Business Schools.
