Xi Jinping, China's new president, arrives in Durban, South Africa, for the first Brics summit held in Africa. Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are attending the two-day event. The five countries represent a third of the world's total population, with combined nominal GDP of $13.6tn.
