Suit jacket by Peninsula Tailors
I was attending a wedding in Hua Hin, Thailand, and on my way back I had a two-day stopover in Bangkok, so I went looking for the best tailor in town. This is a black jacket with dark stripes in Italian cotton. It does have matching trousers but most of the time I wear it with jeans.
Sweater by All Saints
I can wear this beige sweater over a shirt or by itself in summer. I got it during the fashion week season last year, September 2012.
Sunglasses by Ray-Ban
These large brown aviators are classics. Cool but not over-the-top, and appropriate with almost everything. I feel naked without sunglasses when the sun is out.
Shirt by Rene Tailor Shop
I only wear custom-made shirts. This one is light blue cotton with regular cuffs. I had it made on the Lower East Side in a little place that’s just two Dominican guys sitting at sewing machines. I pick up my own fabric around the corner on Delancey Street from Blacktree Fine English Fabrics. I’m tall and skinny, so a lot of off-the-peg shirts don’t have long enough sleeves. When you go in, there’s always a line of over-size and under-size guys getting things adjusted or made.
Jeans by Notify
These jeans are by a young French brand that a friend from Paris told me about. Because they are black, they work with almost everything I own. Also, I feel less casual in them because of the dark colour; they are smart enough for the office but I can wear them to go out on an evening.
Socks by Zimmerli
Zimmerli is the last remaining manufacturer of socks and underwear in Switzerland. David Beckham wears Zimmerli socks. What I like about these is the quality. My mom taught me that quality matters when it comes to clothes.
Shoes by Hugo Boss
These black leather dress shoes go with a suit or jeans but aren’t too fancy. What I love about them is that they are very narrow and fit my feet perfectly.
