NUS business school names dean

The National University of Singapore Business School has named a professor from the Stern School of Business at New York University as its next dean.

Bernard Yeung will take over the role at the beginning of next month and will hold the Stephen Riady distinguished professorship chair at the school.

A professor in economics and management and currently professor in global business at Stern, Prof Yeung has an extensive academic background. His research and teaching interests include corporate strategy, foreign direct investment and multinational firm enterprises.

Prof Yeung is also director of the NYU China House - founded as a response to the growing academic interest in China.

He takes over the post as dean from Christopher Earley.
