Juncker to visit London next week

Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission, will meet with Theresa May next week as the EU gears up for the start of detailed exit talks with Britain.

A spokeswoman for the Commission said Mrs May had proposed the meeting for next Wednesday in London, also involving Michel Barnier, Brussels’ chief Brexit negotiator.

Mr Juncker and Ms May will discuss “the process of the Article 50 negotiations,” the spokeswoman said.
