Discovered by a roadside in rural Malawi selling mouse kebabs and ushered into a recording studio to lay down a quick set of punkishly-simple acoustic tracks, Malawi Mouse Boys attracted widespread popular success at last year’s WOMAD Festival.
Their second album breaks no new ground: likeable strumming on homemade acoustic guitars with more than a hint of harmonised gospel in the singing.
