Bernácer Prize for Chicago professor

An associate professor of finance at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business has won the 2005 Bernácer Prize for the best European economist under the age of 40 focusing on finance or microeconomics.

Monika Piazzesi also received €25,000 ($32,000).

The Bernácer Prize is awarded annually to recognise the work of young European economists and to encourage research on economic and financial issues.
