Sir, Your weekly “Lunch with the FT” is a firm favourite of mine. The gentle probing of guests, interspersed with (often) sly asides on the meal itself, makes for pleasant reading. Moreover, I like to examine the restaurant bill to see if it provides good value for money — $55.18 for a full-page interview with James Proud (January 21) was exceptional.
One caveat: why so few women guests? Last year, Zadie Smith (November 12) was brilliant. So, please, more gender equality on the FT Lunch menu!
