Papadopoulos and Sons – DVD review

Marcus Markou, 2012

Double M Films

Money can’t buy happiness. (Did you know?) Harry Papadopoulos (Stephen Dillane), creator of a mighty food empire, has all the trappings of his millions – but his kids are silent or bratty and his existence is joyless.

When a little “over-leveraging” and resulting bankruptcy force him back into partnership with his life-loving ne’er-do-well brother Spiros (Georges Corraface) in their original mean-streets chip shop, things change magically. Director Marcus Markou delivers the message with a sky-high sugar content – this is not one for the schmaltz-averse.
