The FT’s European edition started in 1979. Since then, it has grown from a domestic UK business newspaper to a truly global news organisation, with four regional editions online and in print and two-thirds of its circulation outside of the UK.

The combined circulation for the UK and Europe is more than three times bigger than the circulation of the Wall Street Journal Europe. The current figure for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is 124,056 (July 2008 ABCs).

Top readership surveys such as EBRS and EOLS have consistently rated the FT as the most widely read, most credible and most highly regarded international business title across Europe.

The newspaper is printed in six places in Europe outside the UK - Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Milan and Madrid - and has writers in 29 European cities.
