FT Jobs & classifieds is the online component of the Financial Times' recruitment service. It offers top quality candidates a wide range of jobs from blue chip recruiters across the senior, general and financial sectors.
How do I search for jobs?
Searching for jobs on FT Jobs & classifieds is easy. The quick search tool on the home page allows you to search for jobs according to job function, location and type of appointment (full time, part time, etc.). You can also enter search keywords to refine your search. Results will be displayed in a table form. You can sort the table by clicking on the relevant heading at the top of the results list.
If you want to narrow your search, you can click on 'Advanced Search' which offers a more comprehensive list of search criteria.
How do I apply for jobs?
Applying for a position on Jobs & classifieds couldn't be easier. Once you have found a position, you just click on 'Apply' at the bottom of the screen. Most employers offer online application, so your email program will be automatically launched, with the job reference and the employer's email already entered. All you need to do is type a cover letter, attach your CV and press send. There are no complicated forms to fill in; you can just send your standard, formatted CV.
If you feel the vacancy is more suited to someone you know why not e-mail it to them? Just click on 'email a friend', under the job description.
What if the employer wants me to apply by post?
If the employer has specified applications by post only, just click on 'apply' as you would normally. A screen will come up with the name and address to send your application to.
How can I email jobs to a friend?
Just click on 'email to a friend', under the job description. Type in the name of the person you want to send the job to, a subject line for the email . There is also space for a message to accompany the job details.
