This is the second running of the FT/StarMine World’s Top Analysts Awards for the top equity analysts and brokerages, produced by the Financial Times in collaboration with StarMine, the research analytics company that is part of Thomson Reuters.
For investors, 2008 was one of the most challenging years in stock market history, and it was much the same for the analysts. However, as these awards show, it is not impossible for analysts to get it right in these markets – or, at least, to be more accurate and prescient than their peers.
