Huron, which awards regionally accredited degrees in association with Southern New Hampshire University, in the US, describes itself as a “boutique” university. The takeover will give Hult a physical presence in Central London - Huron is located close to Russel Square - and will extend the school’s reach. Hult has three further campuses in Boston, Shanghai, and Dubai.
Hult plans to redesign and re-brand Huron’s MBA, masters and undergraduate business degrees which will involve bringing in new faculty.
Ultimately, says Hult dean Richard Joseph, the aim is to enable MBA participants to study in different regions depending on their specialisation: London for international trading and finance; Dubai for project management; Boston for management consultancy; and Shanghai for manufacturing.
