Private equity’s retail returns ’to be lower’

John Lovering, chairman of Debenhams and serial dealmaker, said he expected returns in private equity to be lower over the next five to ten years given the ”wall of money” that has flowed into the industry in recent years.

Leahy urges emerging world to support chains

Sir Terry Leahy called on politicians in emerging economies to liberalise their markets more quickly, as he acknowledged that the rise of India and China were transforming the retail industry.
