FT/StarMine awards 2006

Bulge bracket bested by smaller stockpickers

Big is not always better in stock market research. The FT/StarMine Awards for 2006 for the best stock market analysts in Europe have shown that the best investment ideas do not always come out of huge research teams in the ”bulge bracket” investment banks in London’s City or Canary Wharf financial districts. Analysts from Espírito Santo’s 8-member research team in Madrid remarkably took two of the top five rankings for the best stockpickers of the year.
