Deutsche Bank is close to appointing Citi treasurer James von Moltke as the German bank’s new chief financial officer.

A person familiar with the situation confirmed the imminent appointment, which was first reported by Bloomberg.

Mr von Moltke replaces Markus Schenck, who moves to co-head the investment bank.

Deutsche declined to comment. Citi could not immediately be reached for comment, while Mr von Moltke did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
