Stephen Schurr is the London-based hedge fund correspondent for the Financial Times, and regularly contributes columns and opinion pieces to FT Wealth. Before moving to London in late 2005, he served as the paper’s US markets editor and investing columnist, and as the founding editor of FT Wealth. His columns cover the world of hedge funds, but also offer toughly worded usable advice for individual investors.

Before the FT, he spent three years at TheStreet.com, including stints as executive editor and investment columnist, and seven years at the Wall Street Journal as Money & Investing news editor and reporter. He frequently discusses funds and investing on radio and television, notably on the Lehrer News Hour, CNBC, CNN and NPR. He graduated from Princeton University with a B.A in English literature and American Studies in 1993.
