Simon is the FT’s management editor. In addition to writing a weekly column, he contributes features, interviews and book reviews about the theory and practice of management.

Simon joined the FT in 1990 after a short and spectacularly unsuccessful career in public relations. Starting as a capital markets reporter, he went on to become property correspondent, Lex columnist, Observer columnist and personal finance editor. In 2001, Simon relocated with his family to Silicon Valley to write about management and technology for the FT.

Simon attended East Barnet School in North London and has a degree in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford University. He lives in Los Altos, 40 miles south of San Francisco, with his wife Jane and their two children. - -
