Be beautiful, Google executive tells business

Companies will often be most innovative and achieve the best results if they do not focus on short-term profit but on developing “beautiful ideas”, a senior executive of Google, the US internet company, told a session of the Congress.

Marissa Mayer, vice-president of search products at Google, said that company believed that “if you build something really beautiful and innovative eventually there may be profit in it. But it is much more about what you can achieve for people.”
