Buying by long-only funds helps pubs group pack a Punch

Punch Taverns held firm yesterday as London closed lower for the first time in seven trading sessions.

The pub operator was among the handful of FTSE 100 stocks that managed to close in positive territory as the blue chip index dropped 1.9 per cent.
