Dubai defends record on maritime security

The small white warehouse in a corner of the vast Jebel Ali container terminal in Dubai does not, at first glance, look like a vital link in the United States’ defences against terrorism. But the building contains one of the most powerful of a wide range of measures brought in since the September 11 attacks of 2001 to tighten the security of maritime trade.
