India rejects claims US visas are misused

India’s outsourcing industry body on Thursday rejected allegations that its companies are abusing US visa programmes, in a deepening political dispute that is threatening to mar trade talks involving the two countries.

Two US senators, Charles Grassley and Richard Durbin, have claimed that outsourcing companies are potentially misusing a visa scheme designed to make it easier for multi­nationals to move managers and specialists to their US offices.
