Campaigning begins for the Labour deputy leader position, the Tory chief gets down with the kids, and it’s time to read the runes on interest rates again.

The week is packed with economic releases. Inflation figures for September are published on Tuesday, followed by the minutes from the last meeting of the Bank of England’s monetary policy committee on Wednesday. Analysts will be scrutinising the voting details to see how close we are to an interest rate rise.
