Shire lifted its guidance for full-year revenue growth as it reported strong second-quarter figures boosted by sales of Adderall XR, its old blockbuster drug for attention deficit disorder .
The company expects 2008 revenue to rise at least 20 per cent. It reiterated earlier 2008 sales forecasts that Vyvanse, the successor to Adderall XR, would be at the lower end of a $350m-$400m (£175m-£200m) estimate.
