Asian shares soar on bail-out moves

Chinese stocks led a region-wide rally on Friday after the government announced steps to shore up the market, which had lost almost 70 per cent of its value from its October 2007 peak.

The rest of Asia-Pacific markets also rallied, ending a tumultuous week on a high note.
