In a sign of the shifting balance of power in the global art market a group of art works by Damien Hirst due to be auctioned at Sotheby's in London next month is to go on show in New Delhi to attract new buyers from the Indian subcontinent.
The auction is already making waves after offering 223 new works by Mr Hirst to the public, bypassing the artist's usual dealer and gallery. The works are estimated to be worth more than £65m ($120m, €82m).
