Financial Times receives six nominations for the 2008 British Press Awards

The Financial Times has been shortlisted in six categories for the 2008 British Press Awards, including the Reporter of the Year, Digital Journalist of the Year and Columnist of the Year categories. The awards, organized by Press Gazette, will be presented by Jon Snow at an award ceremony on April 8th at Grosvenor House hotel in London.

The Financial Times has been nominated in the following categories:

• Reporter of the year: Gillian Tett

• Political journalist of the year: Philip Stephens

• Business and finance journalist of the year: Gillian Tett

• Columnist of the year: Lucy Kellaway

• Cartoonist of the year: Ingram Pinn

• Digital journalist of the year: Chrystia Freeland

In 2007, Sheila McNulty of the Financial Times won two awards at the British Press Awards in the Reporter of the Year and Specialist Writer of the Year categories for her scoops about BP.
