Internet's impact exaggerated

The impact of the internet on traditional media consumption has been exaggerated, according to a survey released yesterday.

The IPA TouchPoints report, the product of questionnaires and diaries completed by 5,400 people over the age of 15, reveals that the average adult spends 24 per cent of waking time watching television, compared with 10 per cent on the internet in homes with broadband.
