DMGT's sales rise as ad revenue declines

Daily Mail & General Trust increased sales by 5 per cent in April, May and June, even as it wrestled with falling advertising revenues at its national and regional titles.

In a third-quarter trading update yesterday, the owner of the Daily Mail said the group's relatively strong performance was lifted by its digital business-to-business units. The shares rose 27p, or 8.65 per cent, to 333¼p.
